Restroom Speed Cleaning Tips
At home or office the restroom needs to be cleaned. So, if you clean for money or just clean your own bathroom at home you still want to get this job done as quickly as possible. Why is it that it can take some people up to one hour to clean a restroom and other people can do the same job in half the time? If you have a cleaning service and your job is to clean the restroom in an office, you want to learn speed cleaning tips to reduce the time it takes to complete this chore and move on to another area to clean as quickly as possible. You want to get the job done fast so you or your cleaning crew can move on to the next account as quickly, efficiently, and as thoroughly as possible. So how do you do this?
Toilet Brush Caddy
Here are some pointers that successful cleaning crews use in their nightly routines. First, be prepared by having everything you need to clean the restroom all ready. Use a cleaning caddy and keep all your supplies handy in one place directly next to you while cleaning. Always make sure your spray bottles are full before starting. Any interruption that requires you to go and get something is wasted time.
Second, stock the paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper before you actually start to clean. Then empty the restroom trash into a large trash bag.
Begin cleaning in an orderly manner at the highest point and work your way down. Use a handful of paper towels and glass cleaner and start with the mirror. The mirror mainly needs to be cleaned in the area just above the faucet where water gets splashed up when someone washes their hands.
Finish the mirror above the sink before you move down to the sink and countertop. Use an all purpose cleaner and paper towels on these particular areas. Keep in mind that the more liquid cleaner you spray on the mirror, sinks, countertops, and toilets the more you have to wipe off which will take more time. With practice you will get the feel as to how much is too much.
Now, what about toilets? Using Ajax or Comet and a scrub brush, start scrubbing in a circular motion beginning with the upper inside area and go around lower into the center of the bowl. For stubborn ring stains, go to your local janitorial supply store and ask for a griddle screen and a pumice stone. These always work great for stubborn hard water stains on porcelain.
Maintain a non-stop fluid motion of cleaning from start to finish. You will soon work faster and maintain quality at the same time. Remember, practice makes perfect. Try timing yourself and see if you can break your own record from week to week.Soon you will perfect your own restroom speed cleaning routine.
